Finding Balance in a busy schedule is a must.
It makes such a difference in how you feel just moving your body on a daily basis...finding what that movement translates into for you is the key.

ACTIVITIES
George shares some of his experiences to keep us all moving.
Fitness doesn't have to equal a painful experience
Making time for movement is just as important as eating well. I am not saying we all must climb Mt. Everest or try out for the Ironman. I am suggesting we all try to develop a healthy heart rate, physical strength and simply create some balance in our lives. I am saying "create" because we are all unique. There isn't one cookie-cutter fitness plan that will work for all of us. So be in control. Besides, who knows you best? Take steps for yourself and acknowlege what works for you. You know if the morning is a good time, or is immediately after you get off the train from work the best time for some movement.

Golf : This is a sport with longevity. A few hours out on the course is a good place to clear your mind, breathe some fresh air, and take in some good old walking.
Walking the dog: Change your perpective on some of your daily chores. "Fido" can be your most devoted walking companion. Dogs are always available; probably never have conflicting schedules and very willing to keep on going. Remember man's best friend.
Take a hike: There are so many parts of the counrty devoted hiking or mountain biking. Take advantage of these parks and trails to see some new scenery and bring a friend along and make this quality time well spent.
Yoga: Somewhat of an intimidating thought; moving into pretzel like positions and keeping up with the rest of the "very limber" in a class and remembering to breathe all at the same time. I must admit, this form of exercise is not one of my first choices, but this is definitley a good work out for the dedicated. The more you stick with it the easier it gets. Also, in a short period of time you will feel and see results. Remember to start slowly and gradually work up to more challenging "flows".
Stretching: A very basic and easily overlooked step in fitness. Stetching for warming up and cooling down is a necessary step and is an essential part of the routine. When was the last time you touched your toes? Remember the little steps add up.
Gardening: This activity kills 2 birds with one stone. Weeding, raking or mowing, planting. I always seem to feel so much better after I have devoted some time to the yard. I break a sweat and the yard looks better.

Things to consider, Always check with your physician before starting a new exercise program.
